“Växtkraft. Handkraft. Naturkraft.” is an exhibition by Suzanne Grahn Lindquist combining free bobbin lace making and photography. Trying to find and interpret nature’s forms is a common thread in Suzanne’s pictures, capturing the structures of the large scale as well as the extreme, abstract close-up. The tension lies in discovering that the lines and patterns in a landscape can also be found in the close-up of a flower petal. Each piece is accompanied by a haiku poem.

Suzanne has participated in international photography competitions for many years and has been published on several occasions in the Swedish photography magazines. She is also a member of Fotosidan and Österlens Fotoklubb.

OCCUPATION?
Retired from a career in marketing and communications, I have been an active amateur photographer since the age of seven when I got my first camera: a box camera.

Sewing and lace-, cord- and ribbon-making.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST VIVID TEXTILE MEMORY?
Being together with my mother in her sewing room. She at large sewing machine, me at my beautiful hand cranked sewing machine. I sewed an apron with different coloured pockets. I was about 8-10 years old.
