Design Week

During Stockholm Design Week, Fiberspace is proud to be one of three venues worldwide where Deepa Panchamia’s debut book “Deepa Panchamia: Textile Art and Sculptures” will be launched. Deepa makes textile sculptures, installations and wearable art. This book presents a selection of her work from 2004 to the present day, including notes and extracts from the artist’s journal. This first edition is limited to 300 copies, each numbered and signed by the artist.

Textile historian, curator and author, Mary Schoeser writes:
“Deepa Panchamia’s work is powerful, addressing as it does a fundamental and beguiling characteristic of all forms of life, namely those ever-present contradictions in nature, where the transparent yet strong, fluid and rigid, ostensibly random yet structured so often coalesce with such beautiful results”.

Other items from the Fiberspace Collection will also be available. Opening hours during Design Week: Wednesday – Friday 12-18, Saturday 12-16. Finissage with Deepa present on Saturday 10/2.
