Itajime is a traditional Japanese shape-resist dyeing technique involving folding and clamping. In this group show; featuring Barbara Berther, Elsa Chartin, Karin Lundgren Tallinger, Eva Marmbrandt and Yoshiko Iwamoto Wada; the technique is explored and interpreted, pushing the boundaries of the traditional and the expected. The opening of the exhibition will be preceded by a pecha kucha presentation by each artist.

Young, up-and-coming, Chicago-based artist, Noël Morical uses hand meditations; the repetitive ritual of knotting; to conjure colour and evoke form, creating magnificent paracord sculptures."Whistle past the Graveyard" is her first show in Sweden.

Liz Nilsson, originally from Sweden, is an interdisciplinary artist based in Dublin. She approaches her practice with careful methodology, attentively choosing materials and techniques to express her interests; repetition and memory. Her work incorporates print, tactile mark making, drawing and photography, concluding in installations, printed compositions and performances.

Juxtaposition is Suzumi Noda's first solo exhibition in Sweden. She is a Japanese textile artist, a professor at the Kyoto University of Art and Design, as well as the Director of the Kawashima Textile School in Kyoto. While her works pay tribute to traditional japanese textile techniques, her ambition is to create an innovative style which moves away from them.
