Faber Futures

Faber Futures is a London-based Design Futures R&D studio working in the realm of Living Technology, or Biodesign. The studio’s research and creative endeavours are driven by a desire to develop, prototype and question resilient systems of manufacturing and design-making through the convergence of life science technologies and design craft processes. The studio’s founder, Natsai Audrey Chieza, is the leading design researcher in the field exploring the use of pigment-producing bacteria to dye and print fibres, alongside developing an adaptable and scalable system of biofacture for the Fashion and Textile industries. Fiberspace is pleased to have recommended Natsai for an artist residency with IASPIS which she received. We look forward to our up-coming collaboration!
