Natural Dyeing workshop

Lina Sofia Lundin is a textile designer and craft educator. She works with natural dyeing from an organic cycle perspective where ideas and craftsmanship are equally important. In 2014, her book “Naturlig Färgning” was published by Natur & Kultur. She will be leading a natural dyeing weekend workshop in the gallery on 2-3/4, 2016 from 9-17. Using colourants from plants, seeds, rusty objects and decoctions on different fabrics, we will create reference sample books. This course provides basic knowledge in dyeing and fixation; the history of dyeing; it’s contemporary status and understanding of different materials’ characteristics, in order for you to be able to continue your own exploration.
